DAYDREAM DD06 LAUNCH THIS THURSDAY

'The Carnaby Project’ opens its doors at 33 Marshall Street on Thursday April 9th 2009.The idea behind this studio/gallery space is to create a location to bring together and unite the creative communities in Central London and the thousands of visitors to the area, re-establishing the independent vibe and personality that brought the Carnaby Street area its recognition as a hotspot for contemporary culture from here in the Capital and across the UK and abroad.

The gallery will have weekly additions rotating artists and designers that have featured in the networks publication Daydream. The 2 floors provide a perfect home to introduce the network and show the diversity of styles of work represented in our books and exhibitions. From original artworks, murals, photography and screen prints, the show features hidden gems and established names from across the network.

The space will be host to activities during the two weeks including Launch of DD06 the highly anticipated sixth edition of Daydream featuring over 70 artists from all corners of the globe, a daily artist in residence, a live screen print session, a Wonderland Collective workshop plus a spoken word evening with Daydream’s written submission editor Inua Ellams and a selection of special guest performances.

Keep tuned to the blog for full artist line up and announcements of event date and times, plus find out about new additions to the gallery. www.daydreamnetwork.blogspot.com
