The Nightmare Before Christmas show is a one off seasonal spectacle fetauring over 20 artists from across the Capital. Visit Santa’s Swag Bag Emporium for original artworks, the latest edition of Daydream DD05 alongside mulled wine and mince pies and much much more - this is the time to get your Christmas jumper and come down to enjoy the festivities.

Gavin Watson - Skins + Punks

Newburgh Quarter, Carnaby, 3 Lowndes Court , off Carnaby Street, W1. Free entry open 11am – 7pm daily.

Photographer Gavin Watson’s images are a unique social history of a special time, Skins & Punks, The Lost Archives 1978 – 1985 draws on a gritty reportage style which has now become hugely recognisable in photography but was ahead of it’s time in 1978.
“Carnaby Street was probably the most important street in London for us out of town boys, we would save up and get the train down and head straight for Carnaby. In fact without Carnaby Street and shops like Sherrys, Merc and The Face , I don’t know if skinheads and mods would have lasted as long as they have. It is great for me to be back in Carnaby with this exhibition, to come full circle.”

Each of the photographs capture the day to day lives of a collection of characters who Gavin grew up with including his younger brother Nev, which he has now brought together in this exhibition. Was reading up on Jerry Dammers, he is the guy who wrote alot of their best know material - Ghost Town etc. Jerry will not be performing next year as he dosent get along with Staples, Hall and the gang any more..

however he has formed a new crew, The Spatial AKA Orchestra - couldnt find any of their music, all i do know is they take inspiration from Sun Ra - Check it.....
